The latest issue of Jump has revealed some more information regarding Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD. The soundtrack for Final Fantasy X HD has had about 60 songs remastered – roughly 2/3rd of the soundtrack.Square Enix also rearranged the music for Kingdom Hearts in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 HD ReMIX to include live lead instruments, and it appears that Final Fantasy X will be getting the same treatment.
Final Fantasy X’s soundtrack features nearly 100 songs and was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, and Junya Nakano. There is no word yet on Final Fantasy X-2 HD’s soundtrack, which was composed by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi.
Both games will feature trophy support for PlayStation Network, and will include many challenges that will put both new and old players to the test – lightning dodging, blitzball, chocobo racing, and more!
While there is no release date yet we can hopefully expect one soon. Final Fantasy X|2 HD will be available together on PlayStation 3 and separate on PlayStation Vita. You can pre-order the PS3 version now through Amazon for $39.99 and receive a limited edition art book!
