Following its recent release in Japan, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy has at last been announced for western release. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy features more than 70 songs spanning the 25 years of Final Fantasy.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a hybrid music rhythm-RPG game. It features re-designed heroes from the first thirteen Final Fantasies, as well as memorable villains that the heroes will set out to battle with rhythmic taps of the player’s stylus.
Players will be able to:
- Revisit their most cherished memories from each FINAL FANTASY title
- Strive to achieve the highest ranks in the challenge mode
- Collect and share “dark notes,” a random music sheet that is riddled with hidden loot within the Chaos Shrine
- Seek out crystal shards to unlock hidden characters
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy will be out this summer in North America and Europe for the Nintendo 3DS.
